Our very own Valentine will be on this Fall on NBC in the new series Dracula from the producers of Downton Abbey and director of The Tudors. It looks really good. I think Jonathan is going to be a great Valentine. He plays dark roles very well. What do you all think of this new series and Jonathan?
I am sitting at my computer going through my email and I open one from Fandango. It asks me to look at the summer movies and make my plans. Now the movies they listed only went up to the beginning of August, but I decided to put City of Bonesin the search and the above is what I got.
Now as you can imagine I am squeeing like a 12 year old girl when I can actually click on the tickets button.
As you can see I can’t buy the tickets yet, but I can sign up to get an alert as soon as they are available.
I think all you shadowhunters out there should do the same!
It’s just one more way to show them how much we want this and how excited we are that it is almost here!!
I love this clip. Kevin was on ET Canada to talk about the release of The Colony. While he was there he talked about his proposal and even talked a smidge about Mortal Instruments. he has had a busy year!
Wow these are really good. I absolutely love the fierce look on Jamie/Jace. I would not mind having that poster for my very own!!
What do you guys think of the posters? I am sure there will be many reports in the coming days from the casts appearance at Wondercon today. I only wish we could have been there to cover it personally.
Woo hoo so Mortal Instruments will be at Wondercon 2013…I am so envious I can’t tell you! Lily says they will have a sneak peak, a new trailer and new poster….who wants to take bets that Lily and Jamie will grace the new poster or maybe Jaimie’s chest like the book cover!!
As for the video I have no idea why it doesn’t play right when you click on it.. If you make it fullscreen you can see it. Looks to me like Lily made the video recently, when she went to the Chanel party.
Things are starting to happen guys I am getting more psyched by the day!
Flash Trash Jewellery has won the licensing for Mortal Instrumets inspired jewelry.
My Flash Trash Ltd owner, Amber Atherton, said: “We’ve been working on designs for the past five months. The movie is the perfect tie in for our customer base, and we’re thrilled to be able to work closely with Sony on this range.
“It’s not typical boring merchandise as the jewellery has a high fashion element with on trend points of design such as glow in the dark, tribal hoops, dagger rings, snake cuffs as well as collectable charms.”
I am uber excited to get my hands on some TMI jewelry, hopefully affordable! What kind of pieces would you like to see made?
The only thing that concerns me is where it will be sold?
The collection will be sold across the UK, Europe, Japan and the Middle East with RRPs from £6.99 in the UK. There will be 50 pieces in the collection.
Hmm? I didn’t see the U.S. on the list? Does that mean we don’t get any??
I thought this song was kind of amazing when I listened to it. It really reminded me of Valentine and Jace’s relationship in the books. The video pictures are not exactly what I would like to see but I thought the lyrics and the song were amazing. It gives the impression of an EPIC sound, which I have always envisioned for this movie. Please tell me what you all think! I couldn’t find just a lyric video with no pictures. This is a press release on what they are saying about this group.
Brian May says “NOBODY, but NOBODY, out there, is doing stuff like Les Friction is doing. Nobody dares!” Nic Harcourt simply states “EPIC!” and selected the first single “Torture” as his #1 song of 2011. And finally, Les Friction’s tune “Louder Than Words” spearheaded the marketing campaign for Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Pt 2 which became the #1 OPENING BOX OFFICE FILM of all time.
Les Friction cannot be described…. it must be heard to be understood. A neo-classical rock band with roots reaching deep back into iconic bands like ELO, AC/DC and Queen but equally grounded in current bands like Muse, Radiohead and Coldplay.
This isn’t music for the faint of heart. You will LOSE YOUR BREATH listening…. and when you think it can’t get more EPIC and INTENSE, it will. So grab your best headphones, turn off the lights and take the ride of your life…. this is Les Friction (pronounced “less”).
Irish times had a very nice article on Robert and his career thus far. He has been in the biz since he was 12 years old. The whole article is very interesting but here’s the TMI portion:
He recently finished filming The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, an adaption of the first of a series of bestselling fantasy novels by Cassandra Clare. “On the first day I was doing a scene with Lily Collins [Phil Collins’s daughter]. The whole street was cordoned off, and they had hundreds of extras and hundreds of crew. It was just a gigantic operation, moving incredibly fast. I couldn’t believe my eyes. It was huge, logistically, and incredibly impressive. It was terrifying and exhilarating all at the same time.”
Of course it’s impressive it’s The Mortal Instruments!!
He also spoke of what it has been like to deal with the legions of fans from his two t.v. series Misfits and Love/Hate:
Sheehan is getting used to unsolicited chats with strangers. “In London it’s more about Misfits,” he says. “If you see a gaggle of teenagers walking towards you, you tend not to make eye contact, because you know they’re going to recognise you. You learn to adapt: 99.999 per cent of people aren’t looking to be harmful or unpleasant; they just want something, a photograph or an autograph. They want evidence that they’ve been in proximity to that guy they like in that TV show they like.”
Well he better adapt all the way because Mortal Instruments fans are already hopelessly in love with him and we have only seen him the teaser trailer thus far. Get ready for greatness Robbie!
Tonight he will be in Dublin for the Iftas, at which he has been nominated in the best-actor category for Love/Hate. “It’s nice. It’s a reunion of the Love/Hate gang, which will be lovely. And it’s also acting as a family reunion, because I’ve got about 10 of my family into the aftershow bash. There’ll be serious Sheehans around the place. You won’t be able to move for Sheehans.” And the blue hoody? “The manky blue hoody I wore for the whole series? Funnily enough, my local theatre wants to get it and frame it and put it on the wall. I’ll get it for them.”
I love the fact that he is so open and fun in interviews, I also love that he has such an interesting body of work and he is receiving accolaides for other projects. Great job casting directors our hats are off to you on this one1
Get ready to smash those piggy banks to smithereens shadowhunters. Sony has officially anounced the first wave of Mortal Instrumentsmerchandise we can expect. Here’s what Sony had to say abou their faith in the franchise:
“The long-term potential of this franchise was very attractive to us at Sony when securing the merchandising rights,” says Greg Economos, senior vice president, global consumer products, Sony Pictures Entertainment. “The brand continues to gain recognition, and we are seeing a lot of retailer interest, particularly after the trailer released in theatres with the last installment of Twilight. Our focus is to secure strong footholds in the U.S. and Europe, with the brand before expanding into Latin America and Asia
