Avan Jogia Cast Request for Raphael 'City of Ashes'

229650_332723703522421_912818565_n  Seeing as City of Ashes is a go they need to start thinking about Raphael as he plays a critical part in the rest of the movies.  Now they said that Raphael was too pivotal a character to be introduced in the first film due to time constraints so we ended up with a ‘vampire lieutenant’ instead.  But, with City of Ashes gearing up it’s time to start dream casting again :)   I know I mentioned him back when they were casting COB and a lot of you liked him, but couldn’t seem to get passed the Victorious thing.  Well now he can be seen in ABC Family’s new series Twisted premiering on June 11th at 9pm.  I can’t wait to see him actually act in a drama not just slapstick fun comedy which is what the teen nick shows are. Born on February 9, 1992 Avan Jogia is 21 years old.  I think he would make an awesome Raphael and I for one would enjoy seeing him on the big screen.

Let’s hope the casing directors read blogs!!

The above shots are Aldo Quintino. IMDB which is a totally unreliable source has him as rumored to be playing Raphael.  Now they have been wrong like a gazillion times, but if I recall they have been right on a couple of cast as well. Wasn’t Kevin Zegers on there? Anyway, I decided to look him up and he does have some acting credits and he does look like what I pictured in my head, better actually.

He sounds like fun to me. The other parts that made me giggle, but only because I have somewhat of a twisted mind,  next to  experience it says experienced and next to compensation it says …any.

You gotta love the fact that he will take anything. Perhaps this is our guy seeing as they are on a tight budget and all.

So ladies and gents if this did pan out to be true, would you guys say yah or nah to this choice?

This dark haired hottie is Diego Boneta. Born in Mexico City, he is 21 years old and I think he would make a decent Raphael.  Even thought when I was reading the books I think they made him more like a young boy which would be kinda creepy. So who knows if they would stray from the book when it comes to age.

The only other kid I could think of was the little brother from Ugly Betty but he comes off  a tad on the feminine side and it seemed to me that later on in the books Raphael is described as looking tough in his black leather jacket. So what do you guys think of this suggestion? Does he look too old?? Or just not latin enough??
