Is this an Aussie request? *wink* Julian McMahon as Valentine. Pass the bleach! Son of the late Sir William (Prime Minister of Australia), Julian only grappled one year of law school before going into modeling/acting. You’ve seen him in ‘Fantastic Four’, ‘Nip/Tuck’ and most recently in ‘Red’.

My first reaction is that he’s too young and cute. BUT, these are minor issues for Hollywood. He’s not that much younger than I pictured Valentine, and I do believe Valentine needs to have a hottie appeal.

Dig this quote straight off his IMDb page:

“I like the oppourtunity to play characters who have these dark sides but make the audience empathise with them. You want them to think there is some kind of sweeter, softer side to it.”

That would be a great angle to take for Valentine. He has no sweeter/softer side, but he did convince a significant following that he did. To me, Valentine can’t be all bully-evil. He has to have the complexity of an inspirational leader who grew very strong relationships with people one on one. Maybe Julian’s our guy, fan-girls!!!
