Will/Tessa Video-Dirty Little Secrets

I thought we needed a little change of pace since we are still waiting on more casting news.  I put together a little musical video about Will/Tessa.  This song really tugged at my heart strings when I heard it.  It reminded me so much about the feelings Will has for Tessa which he so desperately wanted to tell Tessa but thought he was cursed.  This series is just amazing I think, Cassie has done such a good job of  wanting us to sympathize with so many of the characters.  I know Clockwork Princess is going to break my heart.  It took me awhile to put it together but I really like it.  I will try and put one together for Jem/Tessa. Let me know if you have a song suggestion for this one in the comments section.

‘Infernal Device’ Movies Optioned by Constantin Rely on Success of ‘City of Bones’

Special thanks to the talent of Cheervolley4eva you have some seriously mad video skills! You have rocked my Will world friend!

A week ago, Cassie posted about TID movies on her Tumblr. Just thought I’d revisit, seeming as I can’t stop the Willusting since she wrote it!

The Infernal Devices is optioned by the same people who optioned Mortal Instruments, Constantin Films, and they’ve done period work before (The Three Musketeers, Perfume) so I am sure they could do a good job. They are completely focused on City of Bones right now and that is understandable. It takes huge focus and effort to get a movie made.

If the Mortal Instruments movie makes it safely through production (yeah, I’m a born pessimist, I’m always sure something is going to go wrong) and if it does well, then yes, that would increase the chances of TiD being made. But to me that’s like “If you won the lottery what would you spend it on?”

What would I spend it on? Making TID movies!!! Duh! :D I think a lot of us read this snippet of factuals between the lines, but for those of you who didn’t? Go pee your pants with excitement. (yes, I’m the born Optimist :D )

Douglas Booth Cast Request for Will Herondale

This is not the first time we have looked at Douglas Booth, but now we have a cast request for Will Herondale and in the above picture I can totally see him as Will!!

He is totally hot and beautiful, which is exactly the description Cassie gives us of Will in the books. Born in 1992 he is a mere 20 years old so he is young enough to play our beloved Will!   Recent work features him in Great Expectations, LOL, and Romeo and Juliet.

One film I saw him in was Worried About the Boy, although a little disturbing to see him as Boy George I thought he did an exellent job!  The boy definately has the acting chops to pull of Will with no problem!!

So even though it’s not the first time we have looked at him when I saw the cast request come in I thought, WHY NOT??

Let us know what you think……

Okokokokokokokok. OK.

So: did you catch that part around 1:04 where she quickly roughed over the part where after they get signed off on the script re-write (which has been our story for a few weeks…BUT WHO’S COUNTING!!!!!???) they start filming.

In a nutshell: pray to the God’s of script-approval for a superfluous bestowal of speed to the order of SCREEN GEMS! Now ##*%THDDAH!

Cassandra Clare and Ed Westwick Talk ‘Infernal Devices’ & Movie

Ed Westwick brings Will Herondale to LIFE!  Period. End of Story.

So, as per my previous post about the ‘Infernal Devices’ Movie, I am flipping out right now over the possibility of which movie will come first???

“…the query that got us most excited was whether [Ed Westwick] consider playing damaged yet dreamy Will Herondale in the film adaptation (currently in pre-production).

“I would love to. I would love to,” he enthused. “It would be a great role. Just from reading the book—there’s a lot of depth there. It’s something I’d relish getting to be involved it. Let’s all convince the studio to hire me and we’ll be all good.” (We’ll be sending our letters to the powers that be right after lunch, Ed…)”

Publisher’s Weekly Spotlights Cassandra Clare

GREAT new article in Publisher’s Weekly concerning all things Clare! What did Cassie have the most to say about?? FANS!

Clare says that she finds online networking with fans “really meaningful.” She adds, “I go wherever the social media seems to be going at the moment. It’s really about the importance of building a relationship with my readers, and it is a wonderful way to get the word out about my books and sharing news.”
In fact, the decision to release Clockwork Prince’s entire initial print run as a collector’s edition with extra content, says Clare, “grew out of the online relationship I have with my fans. I’ve always offered them extra bits and pieces online, kind of like director’s cuts in movies—things like deleted scenes or scenes rewritten from another perspective or family trees—and they’ve always been met with great enthusiasm. So I thought doing an edition with added content would be a way to reward my loyal readers who buy the book when it first comes out.”
See peeps: we really DO make a difference! We love you too Cassie!!
If you are a true and loyal fan, you’ve got to read the entire article over at PublishersWeekly

‘Infernal Devices’ Make MTV’s Holiday Gift Guide

Wondering what to do for that lurking Christmas list? MTV is publishing a Holiday Gift Guide with ideas. It’s a fantabulous idea! THEN, it got unbelievably cool when lo and behold: Infernal Devices shows up! Check this out!

The Cassandra Clare series is a prequel to her best-selling “Mortal Instruments,” and tells the story of demon-slaying Shadowhunters in Victorian London. With the latest installment, “Clockwork Prince,” hitting bookstore shelves on December 6, what better time to shop the series?

“Clockwork Prince,” $11.99
This one’s a no-brainer. In this second “Infernal Devices” installment, we follow Tessa, Will and Jem as they uncover more information about the dastardly Magister, all while trying to save Charlotte’s job as head of the Institute.

Tessa’s Clockwork Angel Pendant, $89
Tessa’s cherubic talisman rarely leaves her neck (except, you know, when she’s transforming into someone else). The inspiration for the first novel’s title, this particular pendant is a bit pricey (it was our favorite, though!), so we recommend a little online sleuthing to find a cheaper one if your budget doesn’t allow for this beauty.

“Reflections of the Thames” poster, $17
While you’d have to construct a time machine for your friend to stroll the streets of Victorian London (and, c’mon, that would be a lot of work), you can always gift her with this poster depicting the era. She can gaze upon it fondly while picturing Jem leading her along the city’s cobblestone streets. And that’s a pretty great gift, isn’t it? Swoon.

“The Steampunk Bible” by Jeff VanderMeer and S.J. Chambers, $15.21
Still a little confused about what exactly this sub-genre entails? (Yeah, us too.) Brush-up on all things corsets, goggles and mad scientists with this recently published tome.

“Clockwork Angel” audiobook, $29.19
While your friend has most certainly read the debut novel in this series, has she had the chance to listen to the audiobook, featuring—wait for it—Ed Westwick? Did we also mention that he uses his British accent in this recording? On second thought, maybe we should include a fainting couch in this gift guide, too.
