Will/Tessa Video-Dirty Little Secrets

I thought we needed a little change of pace since we are still waiting on more casting news.  I put together a little musical video about Will/Tessa.  This song really tugged at my heart strings when I heard it.  It reminded me so much about the feelings Will has for Tessa which he so desperately wanted to tell Tessa but thought he was cursed.  This series is just amazing I think, Cassie has done such a good job of  wanting us to sympathize with so many of the characters.  I know Clockwork Princess is going to break my heart.  It took me awhile to put it together but I really like it.  I will try and put one together for Jem/Tessa. Let me know if you have a song suggestion for this one in the comments section.

‘Infernal Device’ Movies Optioned by Constantin Rely on Success of ‘City of Bones’

Special thanks to the talent of Cheervolley4eva you have some seriously mad video skills! You have rocked my Will world friend!

A week ago, Cassie posted about TID movies on her Tumblr. Just thought I’d revisit, seeming as I can’t stop the Willusting since she wrote it!

The Infernal Devices is optioned by the same people who optioned Mortal Instruments, Constantin Films, and they’ve done period work before (The Three Musketeers, Perfume) so I am sure they could do a good job. They are completely focused on City of Bones right now and that is understandable. It takes huge focus and effort to get a movie made.

If the Mortal Instruments movie makes it safely through production (yeah, I’m a born pessimist, I’m always sure something is going to go wrong) and if it does well, then yes, that would increase the chances of TiD being made. But to me that’s like “If you won the lottery what would you spend it on?”

What would I spend it on? Making TID movies!!! Duh! :D I think a lot of us read this snippet of factuals between the lines, but for those of you who didn’t? Go pee your pants with excitement. (yes, I’m the born Optimist :D )

Douglas Booth Cast Request for Will Herondale

This is not the first time we have looked at Douglas Booth, but now we have a cast request for Will Herondale and in the above picture I can totally see him as Will!!

He is totally hot and beautiful, which is exactly the description Cassie gives us of Will in the books. Born in 1992 he is a mere 20 years old so he is young enough to play our beloved Will!   Recent work features him in Great Expectations, LOL, and Romeo and Juliet.

One film I saw him in was Worried About the Boy, although a little disturbing to see him as Boy George I thought he did an exellent job!  The boy definately has the acting chops to pull of Will with no problem!!

So even though it’s not the first time we have looked at him when I saw the cast request come in I thought, WHY NOT??

Let us know what you think……

‘Mortal Instruments’ and ‘Infernal Devices’ Sneak Peak into 2012

Natalie at the Examiner put together a fantastic Year in Review for ‘The Mortal Instruments’ and ‘The Infernal Devices‘. At the end, she gave out her predictions on what to expect in 2012:

So, what do we have to look forward to in 2012?

-       First of all, if you follow both The Mortal Instruments andThe Infernal Devices, the cover for ‘City of Lost Souls’ will be revealed in January. That will be our first 2012 news to look forward to. Maybe it will give away something about where the plot is going but knowing Clare it will probably only make us guess more.

-       Of course, with the news that the studio is working on a script for the first Infernal Devices film, director and casting news could follow this year.

-       ‘City of Lost Souls’ debuts in May. It will be embargoed, meaning no advanced copies so there will be no online reviews. However, I know there will be an extensive marketing plan and I’m sure trailers.”

The only thing different predicted for ‘Mortal Instruments’?

Of course, we are all on pins and needles about movie news. This could continue to move slow or pick up speed at anytime.

Ouch. I know, I’m hurting too. Not exactly what we were uber excited about. I just hope there is only 1/2 truth to the movie news….that it SPEEDS up. In fact, I am actually going to go out on a limb and say it will. The revisions on the script were thoroughly worked through and is now fixed. Approval has been dragging because of the holidays (IMHO). Everyone will be getting back to work this week and in a serious “beat last years numbers” sort of way. Things will roll….bet with me peeps!

‘Mortal Instruments’ Movie Will Likely Beat ‘Clockwork Angel’ To The Bigscreen

I had this burning question to ask Cassie about the order of film production. She rocked in getting back within minutes…LUV her!

So, there you have it. All is well, we are calm. Mortal Instruments will likely hit theatres BEFORE Infernal Devices.

I really don’t know what all the fuss is about…I want them ALL!!!! :D

A Fan’s Word On Ed Westick as Will Herondale in ‘Clockwork Angel’

Ed Westwick has certainly been circulating with the release of ‘Clockwork Prince’….WHICH I LOVE btw! And if you know Fantasy Guide, she has written an article on the happenstance of Ed playing Will in the upcoming Infernal Devices movies (oh yes, they are working on them! And don’t worry, this site is about to transform to cover ALL Shadowhunter movies. Stay tuned!!)

“During an appearance at the Clockwork Prince release party, Ed Westwick of Gossip Girl fame confirmed that he would be interested in the role of Will Herondale if the part was offered to him. I had the opportunity to speak with Cassandra and she said, “While I have no control over casting, I’m a big fan of Ed’s and it’s gratifying to know that having gotten to know the character, he would want to play him.”

Personally, I would love to see Ed in the role. If you’ve ever watched an episode of Gossip Girls then you know that he’s certainly capable of playing a character with range. And, for an added bonus, he’s British so the accent is already there! Put on a little hair dye and some contacts and we’ve got us a Will!”

Does anyone else feel dirty for cheating on Carson?? No? Me either. Oh dear.

Will Screen Gems Alternate ‘Mortal Instruments’ and ‘Infernal Devices’ Movies?

Revealed today, part 2 of Cassandra Clare’s interview with The Fab Life. And WHAT a reveal it was!! I’m so stoked right now. Check it:

“While TMI fans have been patiently awaiting news on the movie adaptation of first bookCity of Bones, Clare says Screen Gems (the same studio that optioned TMI) is beginning to move forward on bringing the prequel series to the big screen too. “We’ve only gotten as far as the screenwriter,” she said. “They’re very enthusiastic about it. They were like, ‘What would you feel if we … released them the same way you released the books, alternating?’ I was like, ‘If you think that will work … you know about movies and I don’t!’ That would be really interesting. I don’t know if they would do one in the spring and one in the fall or what.””

Or, maybe how about one in June, one in July, one in August and so forth. Just a suggestion :D

How are you guys feeling about this?? How many of you are going to be participating in my InfernalDevicesMovies site??? I was just noticing that we have a GRUNDLE of peeps that come to this site only one time. *wipestear* What’s up with that? Go ahead. Give it to me straight. I can take it. What will make ‘em come back for more?

Cassandra Clare and Ed Westwick Talk ‘Infernal Devices’ & Movie

Ed Westwick brings Will Herondale to LIFE!  Period. End of Story.

So, as per my previous post about the ‘Infernal Devices’ Movie, I am flipping out right now over the possibility of which movie will come first???

“…the query that got us most excited was whether [Ed Westwick] consider playing damaged yet dreamy Will Herondale in the film adaptation (currently in pre-production).

“I would love to. I would love to,” he enthused. “It would be a great role. Just from reading the book—there’s a lot of depth there. It’s something I’d relish getting to be involved it. Let’s all convince the studio to hire me and we’ll be all good.” (We’ll be sending our letters to the powers that be right after lunch, Ed…)”
