Guys, guys, guy. I bet no matter what, a movie with Aidan Turner will advance to the next round picked out of these two

Not a huge MTV fan. Their television network has been lacking for over 8 years now. What happened to Music television? No, now it’s all about Reality TV, which isn’t even really reality. As for the movie brawl, the only movies on this entire list that interest me mostly are The Hobbit, Catching Fire, and the Mortal Instruments. More so The Hobbit, I’ve been waiting for this film since I was 12. That was the only Tolkien book I could actually get through. The other books were just way too advanced for me at the time. I saw the animated version when I was 8, and I forever loved it. So honestly, my love is a bit stronger for The Hobbit than anything else. To be honest I am more interested in TMI on the level of how they do the film. I’m still nervous. I know the Trailer was barely not even 2 minutes long, but some of the things I was able to spot irritated me. But we’ll see. I have a feeling that even if the movie isn’t even all that bad, it wont be one of the book to film adaptations that I will love. I think the books is where I’ll stay for TMI. Than again, most book to film adaptions suck. lol. Even if the movie is damn good, they are still usually always missing something.

Like Jersey Shore? That show makes me fear for humanity.

That is THE worst!!! I don’t understand what people see in that show. The Teen Mom shows aren’t too bad, I feel that no matter what the intentions are of the producers, it gives off the wrong message. I think (if they really did want to give out a good message) That they thought since MOST people know that true REAL life is usually considered a Documentary. I mean, anybody who is only just now realizing that Hollywood will exaggerate a plot, even those based on true stories is very naive and gullible. Technically, (common sense) a film based on 100% FACTS is a Documentary. But MOST of us are not stupid, the “Reality Shows” are staged. We also know that these “Teen Moms” cannot be exactly poor. MTV obviously pays them. It was all over the news that some of them were demanding more pay. I mean, really! So when they are on the show, talking to a bill collector on the phone, crying, because they can’t pay the bill, it is obviously staged. So girls try to get pregnant on purpose to be on that show, to get famous, and to get paid. That’s when Hollywood does a better job at sending a message. They may exaggerate their plots, it’s normal. Most people who write any kind of story based on any kind of fact do it to make it more appealing for an audience. I mean, you don’t need an expert to know this. lol. So when Hollywood does a heart wrenching film people come out of the theater much more different then they are going to be when they turn off MTV in their living room. Like Schindler’s List… based on facts, maybe they exaggerated Oscar Schindler, who knows, but all that matters is the story was VER WELL told, and it left you in tears in the end. You can’t help but try and not complain about anything again after watching something like that. I’m sorry, but the new era of “Reality TV” has dumbed down America….

I think/hope that reality TV is on the decline. I know there are still a ton of these shows on and I even like some of them (Project Runway for instance where people actually have a skill to display and compete with), but for the most part they are pretty crappy. It’s not as bad as a few years ago when “reality TV” took over and you couldn’t find a scripted show to watch. At least now there are more potions for cool shows. I don’t watch MTV but we have a similar channel called Much Music and I tune now and then. I did however go on the MTV website to vote though.

I agree with Jen there are some good shows. I like Dance Moms, that’s fun to watch. :) Marijuana America? I forget the actual title. some of them are cool, and interesting and I admit to watching Teen Mom every once in a while. Not all the time though. I do agree with JoshQ though, they were bad a few years ago, and now it seems to be getting worse again. Kardashians, Jersey Girls, Jersey Shore, Honey Boo Boo, Toddlers in Tiaras? (that one makes me wanna vomit, and EAT IT!!! It saddens me :( ) It is dumbing us down. I used to watch MTV all the time when I was younger, but they had cool shows back then. Like Say What!? Karaoke, Making The Band, Making The Video, TRL, etc etc. Then they got out of control with stuff. I like the New Beavis and Butthead shows though, I thought the new ones were going to suck, but it still cracked me up. I was shocked. lol :P

Yes, another trailer! That would be awesome. I just voted about 20 times. The hobbit should be awesome, and I am very excited for Catching Fire as I did love those books (you must read them Jersey!) but the excitement I have for City of Bones is so much greater. It’s fun when you are in to something ahead of the craze. I read the Twilight series after the first two mivies were already out and I read the Hunger Games just before the casting was confirmed, and I read Game of Thrones just before the show started. All of these were already on their way to being phenomenons. But with The Mortal Instruments I feel like I was ahead of the madness and am so much more invested because of that. It’s the same way that I feel about Muse. Even though they were one of the biggest bands in Europe and very successful around the world they were not well known in my neck of the woods (Vancouver, Canada) and really hadn’t attained huge success in North America until recently. There is a special place in my heart for Muse and the Moratal Instruments. I guess I got in to both at around the same time, and they make me happy!

It’s gonna be a battle before Catching Fire, and TMI. I am NOT gonna lie, I had to force myself to vote for TMI instead of The Hobbit. It’s honestly better literature, and Peter Jackson… PETER FREAKING JACKSON!!!!!! But because I am supportive, I went against my Film and Literature Critiques and voted for TMI to show support. Ah, I feel better now. :P

Thank you for voting against your grain. Who knows maybe if we win we can ask Harold for another trailer or to push up the release date!! Dare to dream. :)
