The new  Breaking Dawn 2 soundtrack artists have been released.  I am praying that they have some kickass artists on City of Bones soundtrack.  I am wanting to see some dark songs, love songs, Simon’s band songs (now that would be fun) or a song from JAIME! What kind of artists do you want to see on COB  soundtrack!?  My #1 pick is BLACK LAB they just have that TMI vibe going on!   COB could be a goldmine for some new upcoming artists to be recognized.  Can’t wait until they release COB soundtrack.  I would love to know what artists Cassie would like to see on it!

EVANESCENCE AND PARAMORE! They will be amazing in the soundtrack :)

Is this really all the news we have? I don’t wanna hear about twilight!? Just because it has a half decent soundtrack doesn’t mean you can put them in the same sentence as TMI. We will be 100 times better than twilight and actaully have substance to our actors and storyline rather than chopping chunks out of one of my favourite books and turning it into something for 10 year olds…

I know just how you feel about the election. My family is split not just north south but east west. It is a riot. No matter what happens someone in my family will be out of sorts and that is putting it mildly. Anyway, good luck in whatever and I am glad we worked it out and yes I am glad I did not run.

Well, I am not comparing the movies to Twilight. I am hoping the soundtrack is as good as Twilight soundtrack. No way am I trying to compare the two movies! I want the soundtrack to have an eclectic feel just as the Twilight soundtrack did. This movie will stand on it’s own I AM SURE!!!! So Andy who would you like to see as an artist for the soundtrack.

Cassie describes her books as a gothic/punk/rock thing going on. So aside from the softer scenes, we need a lot of hard rock. Not sure if people will like that, cause there’s so much controversy against metal, hard rock, and goth rock, etc etc. I pictured stuff like Rob Zombie, Disturbed, Linkin Park…. because their new stuff, even before minutes to midnight, which was pretty good album, don’t get me wrong, I am just talking about their harder more alternative stuff. Avenge Sevenfold, Bad Religion. Green Day is good, but not quite the genre I was imagining. Some of their softer songs like 21 Guns would work for the more relaxed scenes, but all their other stuff is more on the punk, ska, pop side, a little less pop… slightly pop lol. AFI, Drowning Pool, Korn… maybe even a little classics, but only stuff that can also be a little dark like Pink Floyd’s The Wall. I can see that. And as for comparing it to Twilight, didn’t mean to accuse you of that, it’s just really getting annoying how Twilight ALWAYS shows up in any conversation. I literally banned my girl from EVER bringing it up. She can talk about it with her friends, family, watch it, but I will NOT watch it with her, nor talk about it! lol It’s just getting old. Edward’s a P*** compared to other vampires in cinema, he’s the fairy of all vampires. lol Sorry, but it’s true. REAL diehard occult fans DO NOT like Twilight for the reasons that the Author wrote out the vampires…. it’s just… not vampires. I can understand unique thinking, and all that…. but sparkling in the sun??? hahahaha, like seriously???

ok thanks for your suggestions every monday i post a song that i think or fans think are TMI related. I think you might like my post on Monday so let me know what you think in the comments Monday

i think the hunger games soundtrack is what COB should be more like……not in terms of sound but with the fact that all the songs fit the vibe of the film PERFECTLY because most of the music was country and katniss was from the Appalachia…. it may not appeal to a lot of people BUT it was true to the book and to the film…most of the artists wrote their songs after reading the book and it fit in so well because the soundtrack had songs for all characters……..katniss, peeta and even President snow! it showcased all the various emotions and themes of the film whereas twilight mainly just focuses on the love songs…. not to fuel any comparison things but since you guys already started it with twilight, why not aim for better heights?

  • Ananya

Hey , I think the hunger games soundtrack is what cob should be emulating…..sorry to fuel any comparisons but what impressed me about that soundtrack is that it kept not only with the overall vibe if the movie but was also regionally specific……katniss is from the appalchains and so the soundtrack featured predominantly country stars….it almost sounded like the characters were singing it themselves because of that reason……many of the artists specifically wrote their songs for the book or movie so they were not just random songs chosen for the movie by a music director…..they had songs to represent all sides of the spectrum…… From katniss’s love to anger and they even had songs to represent president snow and cato! So screw twilight…..lets aim at better heights

  • TeamEdwardJace

ok first of all this is an impressive soundtrack! i lovE Ellie, Green Day and I’ve checked out the other artists and they rock! and fiest is on it too! i’d love to see some rock, metal, dark, fun, and dance songs and gothic songs on a variety of themes in tmi, including romantic songs! and i’d love muse, green day, evasence and a bunch of the artists on shadowhunter radio to appear! i;n excited for Bd and the soundtrack and cob soundtrack!

I know I am totally repeating myself, but I can’t help it. Yeasayer! Yeasayer! Yeasayer! They are the ultimate band for me for this movie. From New York, really cool, really different. My first love is still Muse (they are Rock Gods!!!) but I too don’t want the Twilight connection necessarily, even though I actually really liked the books and I love how much Stephenie Meyers loves Muse! For me The Mortal Instruments has such a different vibe going on that it needs bands that are really edgy and alternative. Can’t wait for the movie and the sountrack!

  • Andy

awww…. can we please… PLEASE stop comparing this to Twilight. I BEG you! I will be sick to my stomach if I have to listen to a bunch of people act 13 years old while screaming TEAM JACE or TEAM SIMON. I know this book isn’t exactly a Huckleberry Finn, or a Edgar Allen Pow style of literature but I still think it’s WAAAYYY better than Twilight. Then again, maybe it’s because they hired the dumb bimbo to play Bella. I’m sorry, but that chick… she makes me want to freaking gag!

Andy: As this will be my last post on this site I wanted you to know why. Yesterday I made a post regarding the cast and inadvertently left a reply to Scrottie when I meant to do it to JC. It was an innocent post really just telling JC that there were many movies to choose from. I do not want to repeat it but,Scrottie thought I was responding to her and she quite nicely replied and explained her side while you just personally attacked me, called me names, snob etc etc. uncalled for things totally unwarranted. Now let me tell you. I read TMI and Infernal Instruments at the suggestion of a daughter of a friend. Yes daughter who could be my grandchild. Yes grandchild. I loved the books have recommended them to others and found this website and have been enjoying so much reading the posts and decided to join in. All went well until you. Like I said I enjoy even going back and forth with Scrottie but you my dear are a bully. I do not wish and will no longer be attacked. You must learn to grow up. I also know nothing about you but I can see it is ok for you to give your feelings “dumb bimbo to play Bella” which I may agree with but oh dear if I did not you would personally attack me. You have made this site unbearable for me any longer and I will have to find another. Please take stock of yourself and think before you attack unnecessarily. Goodbye

      • Andy

Babe, whether your post yesterday was for Scrottie or JC it still wasn’t appropriate, and on top of that stop pretending that you weren’t being a sarcastic irritable girl who was upset because JC or whoever wasn’t too entirely happy about the movie being made period. I, myself, personally don’t think it should happen unless they plan on going all the way with it. Basically less novel films. One comes out at least every month, and if they focused less on ruining books, than maybe in general there would be better films. Either way you were still annoyed that JC was posting her opinion, and you know that to be true. Using me as an example to not come back here is truly sad, because as you can see… I barely… barely…. very rarely come on here anymore. I wasn’t attacking you because you had an opinion, I was getting upset with you because you had an attitude with someone who had an opinion. The hostility between others over the tiniest things needs to end. Because most of you are older than 25, and you become very upset when someone disregards your precious little world about this film. Why are you getting so upset over people who just simply don’t like the idea of their books being turned into films? I can’t blame people, too many years in a row they have ruined books with movies. If you cannot handle it on the internet, than I can only imagine how you may handle it in the real world. And just so you know, the entire world makes fun of “Bella” Go watch Family Guy, South Park, Beavis and Butthead. The entire world makes fun of the actress and the movies. They are popular amongst teenagers. And the adults who like them usually act more mature. You would never know they liked Twilight unless they said so. Other than that, that’s why it gains enough money. Besides, the money it made was already made before the last movie was released. At this point, if people are getting sick of it, they don’t care. They’ve made their money already. Seeing as you are older, you probably don’t hang out with a lot of younger people, so I get that. But go to a college or some kind of community where mostly people between their 20′s and 30′s gather, bring up Twilight, and watch them rip it apart.. If you like kirsten Stewart or… whatever her name is, cool, whatever. But I’m sorry, the chick seriously is a terrible actress and she kind of looks cracked out 24/7. She’s what we guys call “Easy” I wont elaborate on what that means, because it’s kind of… innapropriate. But hopefully you get my drift. Leaving over me, is very childish and stupid. I don’t even remember the last time I came on here, and you act as though I am on here every day, every second of my life attacking YOU. Well…. I actually HAVE a life, a job, a girlfriend, bills to pay yattah yattah yattah. TMI is far from my mind on the everyday basis. I come on here when I finally… just once, have a boring night. So… you only proved my point on being childish. Peace out. Oh and just a little word of advice from the bully… usually you increase their power when you acknowledge them. So all you did was cowardly hide and run…

        • Anne

Now this is a conversation I can deal with and enjoy. We are having a discussion no one is being attacked. You are stating your feelings and point of view and I appreciate that. I really do. In fact I agree with most of them. e.g. Kristin Stewart. She is a terrible actress no personality whatsoever. As for JC’s opinion I really do appreciate everyone’s opinions. I really did only mean we have lots of otions. You should hear my friends when we get together this time of year talking about the current election. I actually do also have a life that I manage quite well so far. I am not running and hiding after all and glad we can both peace out as you say.

        • Anne

Thanks for the Babe. You may not have meant it in a nice way but it made me smile all the same. At my age I don’t get called babe very often.

          • Andy

lol Actually, I didn’t mean to call you babe in a ‘not so nice way’ lol. I wasn’t meaning it to be exactly affectionate either, but not mean. lol. It was more of a way of talking. and I’m glad you wont be leaving because of me, mostly because if I am really a bully the WORST way to handle it is to run. Just ignore it, all it does is fuel the fire. I meant that in all seriousness when I said it. But seriously, you probably wont see me on the site for a long while, because I literally have no time these days. As for elections, please don’t even bring that up, it’s all giving me a nose bleed. lol. I am a liberal so I don’t really agree with either of them… not that being a liberal means that, but you obviously get it. But it’s becoming ridiculous. every time someone brings it up, I can’t help but kick them out of the room. lol. I just sitting and minding my own business at starbucks when the conversation popped up with 3 strangers. It took ALL my power not to tell them to go elsewhere to talk about that crap. I am TRYING to buy my girl some coffee and just go home! lol I am just tired of hearing about it. It’s all the same. lol
