What can I say about Titanic Blood and Steel?? It was riveting!! Pun totally intended. I wholeheartedly admit that the only reason I watched this 13 part mini series is for Kevine Zegers.
I wanted to see him act and wanted to hear him with an accent, he was great! His blue eyes do not disappoint and his acting ability was so much more than I ever expected. I had never really seen him act in anything but a small part in Gossip Girl. I was pleasantly surprised to see such a heartfelt performance that showed depth and lots of range. For those of you who have not yet seen the series or plan on netflixing it when available I will not go into specifics, but he is so our Alec!! We are lucky to have him!!
I strongly suggest for all TMI Movie fans to watch this series if you can. In addition to Kevin’s stellar performance the story was good as well. Makes you wonder if it was all fiction or if there really was someone telling the makers of the Titanic that there were problems all along??

I actually watched a documentary on the Titanic (the 100th anniversary) and they said with the damage the ship got, any other ship would have gone down almost immediately. Because the titanic lasted so long, it saved all the people who were able to get away. Otherwise they all would have died. They had more lifeboats than was required at the time. The reason they didn’t have more was because it was assumed in the event of an accident they would use the lifeboats to carry people to another ship waiting for them. They never anticipated having so much damage to the ship.
ANYway…where can you watch the series? Does one of the premium channels on OnDemand have it?

I really wanted to watch this series, mainly because it’s about the building of Titanic, and voyage as well. Sorry, still such a big fan of James Cameron’s Titanic, so anything or anyone else’s story is a big interest to me now too. But for now I cannot see it, don’t have the money to up the cable, and I don’t have the time.
lol but it’s okay, soon I will. I’ll just download it if I can, and when I can.
