It’s hard but defnitley the shadowhunters and Jace! like
Gen said, we all love him him(I’m gaga over him) and he os defnitley a true hero. he’s willing to do what’s right though he doesn’t always follow the rules and knows thigns are not always black and right he’s also damn sexy(physically and his personality. Besides having higethend abilties, because of his angel blood, he also possesses extraordinary shadowhunter abilities. He’s fater, stronger and more graceful. I love how witty and snarky he is at times but also how caring he is espically in the later books as well as how funny, romantic and proective hies of Clary. He also lets her fight her own battles but his still concerned for her welling being. Even from the beggning in city of bones, you could tell and you saw romantic moments between Jace and clary before the greenhouse scene. Also he’s physically, he’s got the body, the face, those amazing tawny eyes and great hair and runes over his body!
He now also possibly has an extra ability. Heavenly fire and those runes and scars from the sword and runes, show him how tough he is.
Okay, I have to mix together two characters here, and only because one can explain the other better…. at least for me. I am sure there is an easier way to explain it, but my tired brain wont allow it. LOL
Jace is my favorite character/Hero for the same reason Eric is from True Blood. Why? Because they’re both dark, and they surprise you. I just tend to not make such a connection with predictable characters. Eric from True Blood appears as a soulless, cocky, arrogant, cold-hearted S O B, then suddenly he surprises you with a sudden outburst of caring and affection. Jace is the same way. He at first appears to be this irritating, cocky, heartless character. But when it comes down to his family and Clary suddenly his side that shows great humility pops out, and suddenly your heart wraps around it, and you can’t let go.
Characters who are always nice, or always polite Characters who are always the same is basically what I am saying, tend to not surprise me so much, and don’t leave quite an impression on my mind and heart.
Unlike Bill from True Blood, who, up until the most recent season, has mostly stayed the same. Yeah we found out some secrets about him, and why he was searching out for Sookie, but in the end, he still loved her, and wanted to fight for her…. predictable. He was ALWAYS the hero, ALWAYS the perfect “Southern Gentlemen of the 1860′s” Something most women today crave, because our era does not possess the same culture anymore. However, I still had a connection to him, but that always was because he was always more mature than Eric, who had over 1000 years ahead of him. Bill came off as a Vampire version of Luke, the father figure. So I still had deep love for Bill, hence my devastation to the ending of the most recent season. NO NO NOOOO BILL! So I guess he aint predictable anymore. LOL But my point is Eric is not a bad guy, although he comes off as such. Jace is the same exact way, throughout each book you constantly have to guess which side he is on. You cannot figure him out all that well, and I LOVE that. I love the surprises he always presents us in each book, while Simon…. Simon always whined about the same thing, and now he’s nice and much more likable. He has fantastic lines, yes, but his character as a whole bores me. Isabelle, is pretty close to being the same as Jace. Alec is always quiet so you cannot make a true hearted opinion about him. Magnus also surprises us. So THAT’s why Jace is my Hero, and I actually I am sure everyone would agree.
Sorry for the long lecture, I am at college while on the site, so I am in college mode right now. LOL
BTW anyone notice in the pictures of the cast’s hands that Cassandra sent Jamie’s looks all bruised. Must be the stunts.
It’s hard to say. Obviously we love Jace and he’s a true hero, but I can’t explain how. And then again, I am a huge superhero fan even though I’m a girly girl but at the same time, I think biggest heroes in my life are the people who serve for my country, the police, and firefighters.
