Recap of 'Mortal Instruments' Movie Set Visit In Toronto

Hardest task of all time? This post.

Best 48 hours of my TMI life? Last week in Toronto. Second place is the first time reading ‘City of Bones’. (didn’t YOU read it in 48 hours? :)

I’m sure you are all doubly aware that I am heavily Embargoed by Sony Pictures, meaning I am only allowed to convey certain details at this time. In future, when the Embargo is lifted, I will be able to spill all my beans. But for now I can only tell you the following about my trip to Toronto.

1. Cassie Clare – This was my first time meeting the Queen. After acting completely uncouth in front of our swanky restaurant, we went in to sit. There were a couple of bloggers still coming from the airport and we were also still waiting for Cassie to come from set. Weirdest of all time to look over and have Cassandra Clare just standing there. In the restaurant. Looking at your table. I would have totally added a musical choir of angels playing in the background to complete the moment. Seriously. It felt that miraculous.

After introductions and having everyone arrive, it was time to dive in and talk. We left virtually nothing untouched (including the dessert menu. I told you it was a blissful evening!). Here I sat in a room full of strangers, well, almost strangers. Does it count if you share the Twitterverse? A room full of strangers, but not a moment of silence as we all shot topic after topic with our dream author. It was incredibly cool. CASSIE is incredibly cool.

How do I describe her? Best story-teller ever. No really. We were engaged in a story about Mr. Peanut for a very long time. THAT my friends, is a God-given talent. Gracious and fair. There were many bloggers there, many of whom had visited with Cassie multiple times. This was the first time I had personally been in this type of situation. Whenever I asked anything, or spent time in conversation, she was very kind and accepting. I never felt condescended to or less than important. In fact, I truly believe she took interest in understanding us as her fans, and as people. Next would be the indeterminate amount of wit. How extremely clever and well spoken/written can you be? It is literally oozing from her every pore! Do not be fooled peeps…there are numerous secrets cajoling in Cassie’s head. They must stay there at the risk of all the wonderful things that are coming our way. She is very smart and calculating with the information we can know. Everything will be coming in it’s own due time, but we must continue to trust her. Cassie has the TMI world well at hand, and I LOVE the way she is unfolding it’s magic. Last, the dapper shoes. I heart every pair I witnessed in Toronto. Couldn’t leave a summary without THAT important detail.

Thank you Cassie for being you! For sharing yourself with your fans and being a gift to all of us
