After trying to find the set on Tuesday unsuccessfully, I was super excited to get back on set Wednesday. Turns out on Tuesday I was only 2 blocks south of the location….
I arrived at Wednesday’s location a bit past 4 and was amazing at how gorgeous the location was, I’ve been to the location before as a young child but I didn’t remember it looking like this. There were only 2 people there before and they told me that nothing much has happened prior to me coming except they saw Jamie leave the building. I joined them for a bit and not long into sitting more TMI fans showed up the location as well. Not long after that Jamie excited the building again to have a smoke and it seemed I was the only one to notice. He hid behind a pillar probably because he didn’t want us to see him smoking. When he re-entered the building all the other girls noticed him as well.
After quite a while of sitting there chatting with each other one of the TMI crew guys came over and gave us each a lollipop. I was surprised with how sweet they are there; I would expect them to want us to leave not give us encouragement to stay. At around 6:30-7:00 Jamie got in a van and was removed from set to have a break and change into his shadowhunter gear.
Since the cast and crew were on a break I decided to go out and grab a quick bite to eat. Just before eating others said they saw Robert get out of a van in the parking lot in costume, which was a white wife beater and jean.
After getting something to eat I returned to set and sat closer to the entrance to the building (about 20-20 feet away) and again sat and waited with the other fans. Darkness came and we could better see people inside the building moving around, they were filming on the second floor at the front of the building. We finally saw Rob walking down the stairs after filming his parts!!! The moment I had been waiting for, seeing Rob. Right after the Kevin, who plays Alec, came out and went the refreshment table which was about 20 feet away, he waved and said “hi” and chatted with a crew guy there for a bit. I snagged a few pictures but because it was so dark they didn’t turn out so well.
The crew gave us each another lollipop and a hot chocolate, how sweet!!! Rob, not long after went out of the building at the side entrance and got in a van and left set, waving from the car as he left. Not long after that Jamie and Lily got in a car and left set as well, Lily wearing a robe to cover up her costume. Because it was getting pretty late and I hate school in the morning and they wouldn’t be coming back too soon, I decided it was time to head home and return to set the next day for some more TMI fun.
It’s so funny how Kevin was cast for this role. I know one of the concerns was that he was not as tall as Alex in the books. I actually never picured Alex as being very tall and all of a sudden I’m reading book five and he is described as being quite tall and lanky and I thought to myself “He’s tall?”. Anyway I obviously missed something along the way, but as it turns out Kevin is closer to how I pictured Alex all along, and I actually did not know who he was prior to casting. I know I’m out of the loop a bit. I any case I think Kevin looks great and I look forward to seeing him in the role. I do like the black they are wearing, but I wonder if they will always be in gear or in regular clothes at times.
I’m not sure i’m liking the black ,they are putting them in. Something just seems off about them. to heavy and bulky, for some reason it is reminding me of a comic strip. What do you think scrottie????
