I can’t even imagine the awful hate mail he was getting. It’s no wonder he hasn’t been on his twitter for a while. We (not us)but those who sent those awful things should try and remember he is an actor but he is human. We have the freedom thank goodness to voice our opinions but — I am having a problem expressing the feelings I have toward people deliberatly hurting others in that way. Cassandra said she would find a way to let him know about the #jamieISjace tweets and hopes he looks at his twitter again. That comment he made to a fan at the TIFF was heartbreaking.
Awww. What did he say? I missed it.
He was at the Toronto Film Festival the other day with Lily (Kevin Zegers went also to support her) for her film The Writers. A fan said to him “OMG I’m so excited to see you in City of Bones. You’re the perfect Jace”. to which he replied “Thanks that means so much after all the shit I’ve been getting.”
Awww. I don’t see Jace in him, but I don’t understand all of the rudeness towards him PERSONALLY. Dude Twitter is dangerous for stars, I am starting to think that none of them should really bother with twitter. Ellen Page got a million hate tweets just because she was seen with Alexander Skarsgard, and were assumed to be dating, which they weren’t. And I personally would have LOVED them as a couple. I don’t care much for Celebrity affairs, but THAT would be a relationship I would root for. But they’re just good friends. But seriously, how freaking ridiculous is that, so write someone hate tweets just because they might be dating someone? Don’t people have lives?
Hopefully when the movie comes out this will all be put to rest. Sadly I am sure these people who don’t seem to have better things to do, will find someone or something else to bash. In the olden days hahaha all you could do was write letters now we have instant hate. Anyway I wish them all well and hope the movie makes a fortune and we get to see the rest of them made.
I totally agree. Social media is very scary!!! Hopefully he knows we love him!!!
I hate to sound like a real jerk, and I mean it, but I think he needed a little negativity. I am NOT justifying people sending hateful or hurtful tweets to stars, because that is pathetic and just downright low. But I think all of that is part of the reason why he dresses like a normal person now, and why, as Scrottie said, he looks like an actual Dude now. I support being who you are and not what everyone else wants you to be, but there is a limit. He got a taste of what it’s like in the “real world”. In the real world it wouldn’t just be kids, people in their twenties or children poking at him, it would be the professional world too. In his world as an actor he can look and be whatever he wants because all production companies don’t look at an actors exterior. They know that that’s the point in being an actor. Yes they have to do drastic changes for roles, but that’s why they try to look beyond the outer exterior of the actor, because they know they’ll be entirely different on film. In both looks AND personality. Normal everyday people don’t know that, they see a a poorly dressed girl who happens to be a guy. Professors, managers, and big CEO cats would never in a million years take him seriously. And when others don’t take you seriously how do yOu expect to take yourself seriously!? He needed a bit of a reality check, NOT because he needed to change in order to be Jace, I mean he needed to change for himself. In the sighting pics posted, he is NOT in character and yet he’s dressed like a normal kid. Maybe the director made him to do as well, to help get more fans to “See” Jace, but then that means the director is probably being hard on him about his outer look too. Which in the proffessional world he should’ve expected it. I think he has had a huge reality check because none of his parts before we’re big enough for the media, the general public and his bosses to care about how he presented himself. Now he’s doing a big film that will be incredibly popular, extraordinarily rich, and give him a good nme he didn’t have before. Of course he’s aloud to be a little hurt and devastated that so many people told him he looks like.. Well… Not to be mean… Like a chick. No man- it he’s straight- wants to be told by a LARGE amount of people that he looks like a drag queen. That is a HUGE punch in the balls for ANY guy, and I guess before no one said anything because some people were like “that’s Jamie, that’s just how he is” or “we don’t say nothing cause we feel bad” hate to break it to him or to anyone else, but if he were hanging with a casual group of American dudes, he would’ve been ripped on for the way he looks years ago. Because that’s we men do… Well at least us Americans- I can’t speak for anyone else- we men rip on each other no matter what. Lol that’s just how we joke around. And if one of us finally gets our feelings hurt we just keep it to ourselves. That’s just us dudes. So as much as negativity sucks and most wish it didn’t exist, we need it in order to become stronger and learn things from it. Take the bad in with the good. I hope everyone understands what I am saying…
WOW! Dang Andy! lol, I never knew you could write so much. Actually I can totally see where you’re coming from. We’re just saying that regardless of how anyone feels about him being Jace it still doesn’t mean that they can say such cruel things in twitter, which is pretty much like harassment. However, I do know EXACTLY what you are saying. Another words, he needed a change, and if he needed a bunch of people to say it to him in order for him to realize it, than yes. I get what you’re saying. It’s like a friend of mine a long time ago, everyone was kind of wondering if he was gay or not. Not because he acted very flamboyant, or flirty towards men. But he was going through that stage in every young person’s life, that he thinks a certain style is real cool, when really it isn’t? He dressed like that grunge/emo/indie style. All of us go through it till our early 20′s. That’s when our friends get bold and tell us we look like idiots. So when he heard that everyone was questioning whether or not he was gay- and he literally is not gay- he stopped painting his nails white, and wearing preppy high collared shirts. Because he definitely did not want people to get the wrong impression of him. So YES, I completely understand where you’re coming from. It’s just sad that it took so much negative people to get him to stop dressing like he was gay. Because that is the vibe Jamie gives off to me in both his choice of clothing and mannerisms, and if he’s TRULY straight, I am sure he does not want to give off that impression anymore. He’s still at that young age where we all think we look good in an outfit when really we look terribly ridiculous. I think- I hope- he’s finally grown out of it.
I pretty much knew you would get it. And I wasn’t justifying anyone writing him or any other star (except maybe Snookie) hate mail. I don’t think anybody should get away with that at all. (unless they are doing it to Snookie) I’m just saying that he has to take all the negativity and let it make him stronger. No one got anywhere in life just from crying over some insults. Instead we prove against those insults. Like you’re friend who stopped dressing the way he did just to prove he was not gay. And you’re right, we all go through that lame part of our lives when we dress like idiots. LOL (I still hope people do it to Snookie.) So thank you for not taking my post the wrong way, I was expecting people to get really upset.
P.S. obviously I hate Jersey Shore. If I had my way, I’d burst in on one of their filming dates, and have the whole world watch as I blew their heads off!!!!
what I want to know is how do you get the video so dang big??
i don’t know is it to big LOL!
That’s what he said…
Sorry hahaha couldn’t help it.
Ha Ha! Scrottie
Love it
I love this song, and it does kinda relate to Jace but not completely, still I love It!!!!
it does fit him but not entirely
I don’t know… Whenever I relate a song to Jace it’s usually a song hat talks about a juvenile delinquent who also has a soft side. I don’t relate 100% positive lyrics to Jace. An example being Magic Man by Heart or Something that explains his tortured side like Broken by Seether and Amy Lee. Which kind of includes Clary too. And to describe all of Jace, Welcome To The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance. I think that this song is really about asking for guidance from Jesus. So I don’t think of jace as the hero they’re singing about, I think of Jesus. but that’s just me.
love this song and fits Jace and #JamieISJace
I love this song, but because of personal reasons, I relate this song to a very close friend of mine more so than Jace.
Love this song!
Maybe that is why Jamie has been a little distant with fans on set, we made him feel like he wasn’t good enough to be Jace. I love this idea!
