In an unprecedented move Sony has invited select fan-sites to the set of City of Bones in Toronto for a meet and greet with the cast and crew, not to mention Cassandra Clare.

We would like to thank you all for your love and support over the last two years as we have worked tirelessly to keep you all up to date with the the movie adaption of City of Bones from it’s inception to now– the long awaited filming.
We understand a lot of you are upset and questioning why we have not been invited to set. We are holding out hope that there will be other opportunites for different fan-sites in the future!
Although we have somewhat of an unorthodox way of bringing you the news, we feel our site is one of the best!! And those of you who come and comment (and make up our family!) help make it what it is today! We receive hits from TMI fans all over the world and we appreciate each and every one of you!
We like to think of ourselves as a community not just an information hub. We have enjoyed all of you and your personalities and all the wonderfully funny and enthusiastic comments over casting suggestion, fan reaction to actual casting and the entire roller coaster ride you have all gone on with us. We thank you for making us a part of your lives and visiting us over the years.
I have to admit, I did cry a bit over missing such an opportunity after putting in so much work, love, angst and let’s be honest…fangirling! But there is much to come, and we will continue to bring you movie news and support The Mortal Instruments with the same fun-spirited ways we always have.

I’m not sure why Fangirlish was invited?? They have like no twitter/facebook followers and look pretty new. Also they look like Just Jared mostly gosspi and pictures and fashion. I don’t get this list at all. There are WAY better sites that cover TMI stuff that are actually into the books. It’s nice to know all someone has to do is set up a hypable style site that goes into “fandoms” and they get all these perks, even if they don’t have the page hits. LAME.
you shoudl have been invited and I can think of several other blogs and sites who do a MUCH better job of covering the books AND the movie, not just throwing up a picture everytime lily collins wears a scarf.
Don’t be disappointed. You can see not that much research went into who they invited as they’ve invited some other blogs too including a general/Twilight-centric one. The moviemakers are just trying to get as much coverage as possible. Set visits are the new marketing tool for movies and, unfortunately, they can’t invite many people as it would be too disruptive. Also I think that the TMI sites that are going are making a bigger thing of this than it will be. Most of the time these set visits are pretty regimented with them getting to say high to the cast, watch a bit of filming, then chat with directors, producers for a bit and that’s it.
Since the admin cracked down a few weks ago I think the site has gone in a much more positive direction than it had been for a while and things can only get better. Hopefully if a second film is made then this site’s profile will have been raised enough that you also get an invitation

It doesn’t seem right that you guys weren’t invited when this site was the FIRST TMI fansite ever created.

That really sucks, we are so the best and we deserve the inside scoop too! I love that we are a community not some boring old info site cough you know who I am talking about! Oh well we need to just continue being awesome and good things will come

I love this site! It’s really the only one that I look to for new info. And I check several times a day! My husband asked how often I’m on this site and I laughed when I told him that I check it several times a day. Like I have anything else I should be doing with four kids! Keep up the good work!
I am still incredibly sad that Kristen or you weren’t invited, but it is true that we have also 2 more movies to be made, and if possible, five more. Any of those times you guys could be chosen to go meet everyone on the set, and hang out with them.
SO in response to that, I say just give a 100% and MAKE yourselves noticeable. Speak with CC on twitter frequently, advertise yourselves, etc etc. Just make sure you are heard. And SEE you guys have PLENTY of viewers, and regulars on this site! SO that’s in amazing start 
so yeah, just make yourselves LOUD! lol XP but we ARE a community! And we are best known for for that! Congrats to the other sites as well. They are lucky to see the set, and the stars,
