I realize that Jamie may not be the Jace we imagined but he is beginning to become the Jace for me. I think he will light up the screen with his presence and acting. Robert as Simon is perfect, Lilly will be fine also but I am disappointed in how they have changed Kevin’s appearance. When he was cast I looked at images and he looked perfect, then they gave him such an old haircut that took away totally from his good looks. And gave him a shadowhunter outfit that is not flattering at all. Too bad. Still can’t wait for the movie though.
kevin looks terrible, like really bad i never liked that casting choice and now…well i hope he can at least act since his looks are doing nothing for me.

im hating lilly’s hair it just looks cheeply dyed… i dont know i think the only highlight of this movie is going to be robert sheehan
I think Jamie looks hot and the vibe he puts off is totally Jace. I think the problem with his hair is that people have a particular picture in their mind of how a person should look and it’s hard to adjust to the real life. I think that his acting will compensate for the “not exactly how it was in my mind” look he has. I’m just glad that they found an accomplished actor to play the part and that he is very attractive. I’m not so bothered by him not looking exactly how Jace is in my fairy tale mind. I would rather a great actor anyday over someone who looks more like the part but can’t act. Also Jemina & Lilly look great! I love their outfits and Lilly’s hair looks really pretty! Not everything will be exactly like the book guys!

I still see a girl when I look at him, not a man… not even a boy. At this rate I’d rather be with the guy Playing Hodge… I think Sheehan is going to steal the spotlight. Maybe Jamie’s acting will help others overlook it. But the average girl doesn’t go for a guy that looks like Jamie. So it’s going to be hard for the non-readers to look past that. And about his hair…. how hard is it to give the boy a cut and a wave? It’s not that we pictured something certain way it’s the it is seriously no task at all to just cut someone’s hair. Like seriously. How lazy are they?
Ew. You like men who… look like… eeeyuuuck. Well, I’m not a chick so I don’t get it, but I have yet to meet a chick who thinks this guy is remotely attractive. I don’t know if this counts as a meeting but… you’re the first.
I know everyone’s view of attractiveness differs. You are entitled to your own opinion. My opinion is, yes, I do think he is very hot. I think Jamie, Robert, & Lilly will all steal the screen, for me atleast. We will see when the movie comes out and how the majority of fans react to it.
And why is Clary wearin heels so high she looks as though she could break her ankles? Well… when the movie comes out, she could be tripping all over them, so I hope that’s the explanation, but if it isn’t, I simply remembering that Clary had huge trouble walking in heels, because she never wore them. I also remember her never wearing a skirt either. In the end of City Of Bones she’s wearing a skirt and she’s thinking to herself how diffferent she looks when she she actually dresses like a girl. Same at the end Of City Of Glass, Jace says to her that she doesn’t look like her. and she says “it’s the dress” Clary is totally like one of the guys kind of chicks, So if this isn’t a scene where she’s tripping all over her feet due to heels, they’ve already made her more like Lilly than Clary. The did the same thing with Emma and Hermione. She was a GREAT Hermione when they had a good director, but when they changed directors and suddenly Hermione was beautiful, curls were tamed, and she was punching boys in the face. No… she didn’t tame her curls until book 4, she didn’t fix her teeth until book 4 as well, and Hermione never one punched anyone! She slapped Draco, that’s about it. They ruined her character, and they’re probably gonna do it to Clary took. Damn you Hollywood!

When I first heard this poem, it nearly made me cry, because I was the same way growing up. Not much sex appeal for us guys-gals…
Ehh… I don’t know. I think Alec looks worse than him. Not to sound negative, but I assumed they would at least try to make Zegers look younger, it looks like they made him look OLDER. And Jamie looks the same he did a couple of months ago. I hate to surrender but, now that they’re all in character, I am still feeling uneasy, I have to agree with Andy, Simon is going to steal the audience, not Jace. And if poor Jace were real, I think he’d be extremely upset with that. lol. I just don’t see the manly sex appeal I pictured with Jace. Jamie’s hair still looks so unhealthy. I was hoping they would put extensions in his hair to help make it look fuller and more healthy and curly. But it still looks stringy and thin. I pictured Jace with such a beautiful head of hair. Like the little kid in The Lucky One? I figured Jace may have looked like that little kid when he was like 9 years old. I think the outfit looks great! But whose wearing it is just… not sparking anything inside me at all. but Zegers looks terrible in his outfit. He makes it look like a cheap High School costume. So at least Jamie wears the gear good. But I don’t know, I was positive all the way til now, and I just don’t see it. I’m sorry I just don’t. I assumed they would do something with Jamie’s hair. I didn’t picture Jace’s hair THAT long either. Just a little shorter. Sounds to me that someone doesn’t want to let go of his girly locks…. Just my opinion.
I understand, hun. I literally have been staring at this picture for at least… 20 minutes TRYING to feel that same feeling I get when I read Jace in the books, and it’s just not there. I don’t see Jace, I just see a very unnatractive boy wearing all black… that’s it. I don’t FEEL Jace when I look at this picture. You know that creepy, but cool feeling you get when you look at Kara-Lija’s drawings of Jace? You look at the drawing and you can feel the silkness of his hair, the roughness of his skin, like he is REALLY there? That’s the feeling I was hoping for when he was in character, and it’s just not there. I don’t feel Jace at all. I agree, his hair is sooo thin, and actually I think his hair is the right length, I think the problem is that Jamie’s hair is like bone straight! The least they could have done with fringed or feather his hair to give it a fuller more layered look. That way his hair would curl at the nape of his neck, just the way it is described in the book. I HATE guys who have bone straight hair and grow it long. They have no idea how gross it looks. lol. Liek Chad Michael Murray whenever he grows out his hair? YUCK. His hair is bone straight too, and it just looks awful. No body, no volume. Just flat against their head like freaking Severous Snape!!!! EW! hahaha Which on a side note, I think Jamie might go bald young, or maybe he just has really thin hair, but it’s really really thin.

Why couldn’t they have done that with Jamie’s hair? I mean, they literally didn’t do ANYTHING to his hair! So I am just assuming that he refused to change his hair, because he is obsessed with that “I don’t ever come or wash my hair, because I enjoy looking like a bum” look. Or They’re the ones that didn’t care. It’s going all the way back to when Josh said that they would just be lazy? I agree, how hard is it to give someone a haircut??? They changed Josh Hutchinson’s hair for HG! Yeah he looked as though he shouldn’t be blonde but at least they TRIED!!!!! Oh well… it’s just a movie. Not the end of the world. I agree with you. Stick with my books, and move on. There’s worse things to cry over I guess. lol

I agree, he still doesn’t reflect the beauty I pictured on Jace. I agree with some commenters who said he has more of a Jonathan vibe, and here I REALLY see Jonathan. But like I said, I really don’t care anymore. As long as they don’t ruin poor Jace’s reputation for the new readers about to come, than I don’t care. lol. If I don’t like it, I don’t like it. I just stick to my books… speaking of which. *puts on glasses* time for homework for the first night of school… sigh… night. lol
I am actually more bothered by the fact that Clary is wearing heels and that Isabelle is so small. In the book, Isabelle is described as this really tall girl towering over Clary. So why did they put heels on Lily knowing how tiny Jemina would look? Who knows, maybe it will all look/seem okay on movie. Still, they could pay a little more attention to detail.
As for Jamie, he is still “eh” to me. His hair length is okay but they could have given him bangs and layers to make his hair look fuller. And is that his earring we see? Seriously, he couldn’t part with it for the movie. I’m afraid all I will see onscreen when the movie comes out is Jamie dressing like Jace and not Jace coming to life.
I must say that I’m FINALLY starting to really see Jamie as Jace. I’ve loved his passion for TMI in all his interviews and I’ve been crossing my fingers for this, so I’m extremly glad that he’s starting to look like the shadowhunter we’ve all come to swoon over xD

i’ve said this already, but that jacket is UNF. and the boots. and the belt! and i can’t keep my eyes away from the ring, i hope we eventually get to see a close-up of it.
