just a guess
All the gray makes me jump at the Institute suggestion. However, this could even be Jocelyn & Clary’s pad where she takes on her first demon??? Just a thought. That’s pretty early in the story as well….

Actually this isn’t anything to worry about. It’s a hundred percent completely normal. The set could be the Institute, the coffee cafe, Magnus’s Loft, the Bone City, the Hotel, or even streets and buildings for the outside. They have to get permission from City Management to close off sections of a city to film, and sometimes City Management has good reason not to grant that permission. So they need back up sets for the times they wont be out in a real city. Makes sense? lol. They need a lot of sets.
Especially for my favorite thing…. DEMOLITION!!!! Muahahahaha. XP Yeah so they can blow things up and stuff. LOL obviously you get it. XP

Is it too small to be the fronts of buildings thay walk by? But why would they bother making that when they could just walk passed real buildings? I don’t know Scrottie, whats your best guess here…
