Puzzle Pieces Filling In
The puzzle pieces are starting to fill in. I thought it would be fun to start filling these pieces in once the actors are announced. Let’s see how many of you FANS guess the right actors. Speculate away! We still have Alec, Magnus, Jocelyn, Luke, Valentine, Madame Dorothea, Hodge and Raphael.

I am glad that the cast is finally filling in. Who I really could see with the rest of the cast (I’m not going to comment on the actual actors. It’s done and over with.)is as follows:
-ALEC–At first I wanted Gaspard Ulliel, but he’s too old and this sort of movie is not what he does. Then I switched to Nicholas Hoult and that stuck. Even though he was already stated that he was NOT going to be Alec, I still wish he is, although I understand that he has a large role in the movie Jack the Giant Killer and Warm Bodies, and Alec is a small role so why would he demote himself? Now though, Benjamin Stone was mentioned. I really really like that idea. He can act and he is hot!
-MAGNUS–I don’t think I am literally the only one here that, even if he is PART Asian, that hates almost all the suggestions for Magnus. Most of the suggestions are FULL Asian and I don’t find them attractive in the least, and not because of their ethnicity. And, even though I was always a fan of Adam Lambert (yes, he has acted on Broadway so don’t comment that he is not an actor) he is too old and unrealistic. So I totally ship Tyler Blackburn. He is hot, has a somewhat exotic look, can sing, and, from what I have seen, he can act.
-JOCELYN–I don’t have much of an opinion on her. But it was stated many times throughought the books that she and Clary share a strong resemblance, so she would have to look at least somewhat like Lily Collins. Someone mentioned somewhere, forgot the location, that Angelina Jolie would be perfect, but I do not like that idea.
-LUKE–There are many suggestions I have had in my head for this one. Hugh Jackman, not anymore though. David Conrad, Timothy Olyphant, Gerard Butler, or even Matt Bomer. Any of those choices I would be happy with.
-VALENTINE–At first I wanted Paul Bettany, but now I don’t think he will work. Now I want Michael Fassbender. He is a good actor, known enough to draw in another type of crowd, and doesn’t look bad as a blond.
—Besides Robert and Maryse Lightwood, I really don’t have much of an opinion on the rest.
I’m thinking Nicole Kidman would make a good Jocelyn. What do you all think???? I think they need to add some actors we all know and like. Kinda how hunger games did with woody harrelson and lenny

i just had a dream that Nicolas Hoult got cast as alec. i really thought it was real ):
My dream adult cast: Daniel Craig or someone similar for Valentine. Chrstian Slater for either Luke or Hodge, I think he would do both pretty good. Or Gerard Butler for Luke. Jocelyn= Don’t care… hate the %$#@ LOL
Maryse; Jennifer Connolly, or Claudia Black… or at least someone with the same vibe. Magnus is a toughie for me. I don’t know very many Asian actors at all. So I guess in the looks department as what I pictured… that Tyler kid that Jersey mentioned. Madam Dorthea I have no idea! I don’t have any ideal actor, as long as they can pull off the part. I don’t mind who. As for Alec I really really like Nicholas Hoult but CC said that it wasn’t him who was Alec so… I don’t know. I am kind of hoping she only said that to get people to stop guessing it’s him. Because the kid is a great actor, AND he has that Alec vibe. If not him… then how about Jeremy Irvine? I think that kid has pretty good potential, and he has a little bit of a Alec vibe too.

I think Julian McMahon would be great for Valentine. He’s such a good bad guy to me. I also think that Tyler Blackburn would be cool for Magnus. And Liz Torres would be awesome for Madame Dorthea. The other characters, I don’t really know.
Okay so my dream pics for who’s left, Alec- Christian Cooke, Magnus-Tyler Blackburn, Valentine-Paul Bettany, Jocelyn- Laura Leighton, Luke- Misha Collins, Hodge-Christian Slater, Madame Dorother- Liz Torres and Raphael I haven’t given much thought to but I probably should
Paul Bettany just doesn’t do it for me. He just looks too young to have a teen daughter, when Lilly played his daughter in Priest it just didn’t sit right. I know he’s like in his late 30′s or something, but he doesn’t have the older-sophisticated look that I pictured with Valentine. Daniel Craig is my main dream actor for Valentine. Not to mention Paul doesn’t look evil, he just doesn’t have that. “I talk like Hannabal, but I am one gorgeous man. attitude. lol but mehh, whatevs. lol
I looked him up he is 41 but I bet he would like to know you thought he was still in his 30′s, even though I don’t think guys care about that sort of thing. Men just seem to get more distinguished with age and they get more respect? It’s the women who turn into washed up old hags! ha ha I like Daniel Craig too he has the same look about him and he has the accent too, right?
DB would make a perfect Will – but let’s face it. Even if they adapt the Infernal Devices, it will be years from now and DB will be way too old for the role! It’s devastating, but it’s true.
I’m pretty delighted with this cast – Robert Sheehan is a really unexpected choice for me, but also really awesome!
I couldn’t even guess the other actors. Though I hope they’ll pick an incredibly good and charismatic actor for the role of Valentine, who’ll be able to give us the creeps in the cinemas!
But they were thinking of releasing the movies in sequence like the books, so once they make COB they would start making CA. That is if the movie does well an how could it not, so it may be only a few months to a year after COB
MAYBE cassie just told us that Nicolas Hoult wasn’t Alec just to make it more awesome when he was!!!!! yeah no thats very unlikely but i would be so happy. at first i thought no for him but now that people are saying all these other actors i just dont like any of them and i realized that Nicolas would be the best Alec for me. but hey im sure they will choose someone great anyway.
I’ll admit, I wasn’t totally thrilled about Lily being cast as Clary at first, but now every single person that’s cast, I’m so excited about because who knows, maybe they can totally and utterly BE the characters. That’s all I really care about, that they can BE the characters. That might not make sense but it does to me. xD

Does anyone know for sure when they are going to have to cast all the characters? I know they are starting filming in August, so does that mean we will get all our casting news within this month? Maybe? Please?
I’m praying Alec will be Douglas Booth, otherwise I’m gonna cry. Christian Cooke wouldn’t be a bad choice either…
For Magnus, I think Darren Criss would be perfect, but I didn’t hear of him auditioning? So then, maybe, Shannon Kook or Ross Butler.
Not as concerned for the others, because as these two are my favourite characters, I just hope they’re cast well…<3
I’m actually hoping Douglas Booth is Will if and when Infernal Devices gets made. lol
I had that thought as well. I don’t really WANT him to be Will, but he seems like a good choice.
