OMGaaawd!!! Leah, I did not need to see such gorgeousness XD I feel totally hopeless now, I’ve been trying to be positive with Jamie as Jace, but he just doesn’t scream shadowhunter for me. THIS GUYS SCREAMS IT! There are so many actors who look like Jace out there. I’m so frustrated, but I must remain positive. Jamie must’ve done something great during casting…right?!?!? gahhhhh
Well… since everything I have seen him in isn’t all that magnificent, then I think in order to get us all to shut the @#$% up they should’ve aired his audition tape!!!!!!!!!
I have my fingers crossed we can get a look at that tape somewhere down the line althoug there is a slim chance of it happening
That is the million dollar question isn’t it. Why are alot of young, already attractive well built young actors playing Jace??????????????????? (maybe because casting directors don’t bother reading the the books before the cast.)
So I’ve started watching The Vampire Diaries and I think Steven R. Mcqueen could be a good Alec. I think he could pull off Alec’s ups and downs.
Even though I know there is a very small chance of him as playing or he is on the radar for Alec.

As for Valentine I was on CC’s tumblr page and Robert Downey was brought up who knows maybe RDJ will be our Valentine. It’s very unlikely but that would be awesome!

I don’t want to be that guy, but why can’t we just suspend our judgment a little bit. I feel like everyone is calling a few casting choices the end of the world.
Whoever said it was the end of the world? If anything that’s melodramatic, compared to what I had said. I don’t feel that a crappy film is the end of the world. There are plenty of crappy films and the world is still here. Twilight, Pearl Harbor, Abduction, Paranormal Activity and so on and so on. A couple of crappy casting choices? Ummm without good actors we have a terrible film, and without great direction we have terrible actors with a terrible film. Basically the conclusion is if the director sucks then the whole thing will suck. They couldve hired many time Oscar winner Jack Nickelson and it would still suck. Whenever you have a boss that doesn’t care what do the employees do? They slack. It’s normal, and instinct. If you have a boss who slacks then the whole establishment slacks. The Director is the big boss on set. The Director is our last hope… And my patience is on a thin line. And why am I a bad guy for worrying about a production ruining a book I like? If anything the fact that I am willing to defend one of my favorite books makes me a little bit of a better fan. At least I stick to my true opinions and am myself. At least I stand up for what I believe in. But no matter what they you dig deeper into denial and force yourself into blind faith. There’s a difference between blind faith and faith. And there’s nothing wrong with still having faith or staying positive, but don’t get mad at me for getting worried over OBVIOUS flaws! And you sound ridiculous when you say “a couple of bad casting choices isn’t the end of the world” that’s like saying getting fired isn’t the end of the world when you have 6 children to feed… And actually I was joking, at least Jersey sort of figured it out…

No, I just mean we have not seen anything yet film wise so some people are just judging these actors off looks. Which I guess is fine because they had their own images already made up in their heads from reading the books. But I choose to wait and see what happens, the images in my head may be less defined or something I don’t know. I just think being so mad or upset now will not get us anywhere. I am not saying don’t have oyur own opinion but it sometimes starts to ruin it for everyone who is still excited about what is to come.
Sweatie nobody is judging Luke and Alec off looks, we;re simply judging the obvious common sense in the situation. Why hire a two people who are nearly exactly the same age, one as a teenager and one as an adult??? Does that make any sense to you? Would you still be telling me all this if they hired Haley Joel Osmit to Play Valentine? Probably, because that is your denial. It’s one thing to stay positive and another to be blinde. This is a ridiculous choice and you know it! And again… I WAS JOKING!!! Your ears would bleed if you were around more young men in their early twenties if you cannot even handle me trying to be just a little funny. Obviously my saying that the film will suck wont stop people from going to see it, if you watched more Family Guy you would get the idea. I was actually watching it when I typed that up. It was the episode where Brian goes to court to get custody of his puppies, and they argued against him that he bought innapropriate films like “BioDome” and “Son In Law” LOL he said he took the movies back for Peter because he was banned from the movie rental store for taping over their movies. Then it cuts to a scene where this couple is watching a movie and Peter suddenly appears on their screen and basically shouts the movie sucks and says “See I just saved you 3 long boring hours of torture and waist” Get it?????? And America is full of too many people who think most should keep their mouths shut because it’ll prosecute another one’s right. So basically no one is allowed to have an opinion because SOMONE will get upset over it. Even though it goes against the 1st Amendment, the right to FREE SPEECH! This country has turned into the country and whiny people who get insulted the second someone thinks differently than them and doesn’t get their way. Like trying to get rid of Ronald McDonald becuase he represents Obesity… nooo… learn to feed your kids other things besides McDonalds’s!!!! You’re kid is fat because of YOU! Don’t be like the rest of this Ignorant country, by telling me to keep my mouth shut just because someone might get a little upset.
