Okay, I know I know this is a Mortal Instruments site, but I was emailed a link to this trailer today and seeing as Alex Pettyfer is no stranger to our blog I thought I would comment on it. Now the trailer is a little on the risque’ side so I am adding the link at the bottom, for those of you who dare. I whole heartedly admit that I was dead set against this movie becasue I thought, at the time, that it was what made Alex turn down Jace. Now almost a year later it turns out AP just didn’t want to play a teenager anymore. After watching the trailer I may go check it out because miraculously enough it looks like it might be a “love story”?? Go figure.. but seeing as I will always be an AP fan and a fan of washboard abs in general, I will pay the price of admission.
I tend to doubt that Magic Mike will do as much for Alex’s movie career as Mortal Instruments might have done, but in the end I hope he finds whatever it is he was looking for.
I think it will be interesting to see how his and Jamie’s careers pan out.
So to Alex we wish you well and I hope that passing on MI was worth it…..

TMI would have done much better for AP’s career. Not exactly smart of AP :-< But I guess he's like Miley Cyrus in the sense that he doesn't want to be seen as a teenager anymore but as an adult.
That’s because he’s not a teenager anymore, and he thought he was too old to play Jace, Cassandra Clare agreed. If TMI was being made into a film about 3 to 5 years ago, he probably would’ve been perfect back then, but now he’s changed too much. and it wasn’t unsmart of him. It actually was a very mature decision. I Am Number 4 didn’t do well in Box Office, Beastly sucked, and all of his other stuff was made independent so that means very few know about them. He needs to live girlie teenage things in order to prove himself. I think his small part IN TIME was awesome!!! And he’ll probably do a good job in this one as well. You can’t say it wasn’t a smart decision when YMI hasn’t even started filming yet, because we don’t know if it will fail box office or not. Some movies out there are really really good even if they fail box office, but franchises depend on box office hits, they NEED that money to continue on the franchise. If TMI is a box office failure they will not do the rest of the book series. You’re only saying it wasn’t smart of him because you wanted him as Jace. I thought he would’ve made a great Jace too…. over 5 years ago…
I saw Beastly in the theater and didn’t care for it too much. Then it came out on DVD and I wanted it. Picked it up for $9 and watched it again and that time I liked it a lot. So I wouldn’t agree that it sucked. The impossibility of the circumstance that he was able to keep her with him was poorly written but I thought the cast did a great job with what they had to work with
Yeah I thought Beastly was cute, but like you said, very poorly written… too be honest… and not to be mean…. but Zac Efron seems to be thriving MUCH better than his pretty ex is. ~O.O~ I kind of felt her acting was the one that wasn’t too good. Alex was okay, not great or terrible, but okay. I actually found her to be completely unbelievable. Sorry to Hudgens, I mean… just an opinion. Maybe she will get better? As for Alex’s acting, I think he is pretty good actor, and I think we will see great things from him. I thought I Am Number 4 was good, I was sad to hear it failed because I rather enjoyed that when I went to see it. BUT it’s also a Fantasy/Action film.. hehehe. Acting is usually not required in such films. XP There are movies where I am like. DUDE, what the F? lol. Like Jumper, sorry but Rachel Bilson was terrible in that movie. And that was another Fantasy/Action/SciFi film but THAT was ridiculous. LOLOLOLOL But I absolutely LOVE LOVED LOVED LOVED Alex in Tormented. Evil bully with a tad of Jaceyness turns me on a tremendous amount. Hahahahahaha

Now to comment on this film. I am very excited, and I am not a love story person. LOL. Nor am I much of a Channing Tatum fan when it comes to his looks. He just doesn’t… strike it for me. lol He reminds me of a Ken Doll…. completely fake? The only Ken Doll I found attractive was Shaving Ken, and I think it’s cause he looked more real. haha.
But I am excited for both Alex and Joe… nah… screw calling him Joe… HIS NAME IS ALCIDE!!!! YEAH!!! Hottest werewolf ever. He was the guy that was flipping the girl, then his back cracked. Hahaha. Cute. Can’t wait for True Blood season 5… June 10th… taking forever!!!! GAL!!!! haha

Hahahaha, that’s a tip for me, I’m at the ripe age of reproduction in my family. We all have babies at age 23. EVERYONE in my family had their first when they were 23. So… gotta be extra careful from now on. lol XP
