This is defiantly the look they should use for Jace.. you need to remember this book is based of teenagers and that he shouldn’t be so buff that it takes away from his youth.. This picture is exactly how I picture Jace. I have to hand it to Cassie.. she has a vision and she can and did see his potential from the beginning.. bravo girly. Love all the books.. I have read them all twice. They are so AMAZING!! I have been patiently awaiting when they would come to the big screen. CONGRATS!
I have to say that i did have my doubts as well for Jamie as Jace but the other day in youtube, i watched fan made clips of him and Clary. And he is a perfect Jace
And a terrific actor , he will not dissapoint. He is too skinny though but i hope they buff him up a bit. 
But other wise, im happy that Jamie is Jace. LOVE YOU JAMIE !♥

Jamie looks hot, can’t wait to see the movie. I must amite that I had my doughts, but not anymore. Now if we can only see what the rest of the cast looks like. And we have to wait until march 19th 2013 for Clockwork Princess? What?
Have the kid EAT A BURGER! He is way to skinny to play Jace. Shame. This could have been an epic movie.
Ya know, I have decided that him being skinny isn’t the issue anymore. Well, I mean it is still an issue since Jace is all buff and all. lol. I think it’s his very feminine behavior that turns everyone off. He wears pants waaaayyy too tight! Every time I see him, I picture Michael Cera in Superbad, in the end when Seth is trying on new jeans, and Cera is standing behind him going…
“Those are…. way too tight… You need to upgrade… there’s not enough pant where their should be…” lol love that movie
He totally acts like a chick. AND he does have a little bit of a girlie physique! So him being skinny is a bit of an issue. I’ve dated skinny boys, and they’re still attractive shirtless, regardless of being without muscles, but he has hips, which is kind of weird, because men do not have hips *raises eyebrows* but the point I am trying to make is I think that’s the main problem everyone is having with Jamie. People keep forgetting that he’s an actor, he gets paid lots of money to be other people for a couple of months. lol. And I think he is a pretty good actor. I know so many people say he’s AMAZING! But I just say he’s good, because we all know that AMAZING takes years to achieve. Tom Hanks, Jack Nicholson, Natalie Portman, Halle Berry… they’ve done their fair share of hard time, and hard work to get their status. Jamie is still young and new. So yeah, he’s good. lol AND they are putting him through 4 and a half months of training, and a diet of lots of protein shakes. So I am sure he will LOOK better by August.
If he doesn’t, then more blame goes to the producers of the movie. Even Zac Efron who is already well chiseled all around, spent months gaining as much weight as he could so he could look more convincing as a Marine, even Zac who was ALREADY hot! Looked soooooooo different for The Lucky One. So in the end, if Jamie is still girlie skinny, then he is either incredibly ill, or the filmmakers just don’t give a shit.

Im still disappointed with jamie as the choice for jace but oh well nothin to b done. I hope they get his hair right at the very least! in the movie The Prisoner (in my opinion) its the only time I think the kid looks decent. Think it has to do a lot with the fact that his hair covers his forehead, temples, & ears which i believe r the features that make him look odd. Obviously the color would have to b changed but I hope & pray their hair team gets it right, look how ridiculous the twilight casts looked & even Petta’s in the hunger games! U’d think with how much these hairstylists get paid they’d know what they were doin or maybe I’m just extra judgemental & prone to notice since I do hair myself lol!
LOL you’re funny. That’s my main wish too, that they cover his ears, forehead and eyebrows. Cause it is what looks odd. I pictured Jace to have a similar haircut to that description anyways. Over his forehead and around his ears. Jace’s hair is supposed to be somewhat curly too, so I hope they doing something about that. That’s like my favorite feature on Jace!

I was just thinking… how long they plan on making him train? They said filming starts in August, and we’re about in the middle of April, and I think he started Gladiator training probably about…. a week…. maybe 2 weeks ago. Do they plan on making him train all the way up till August? that’s about four months! Yeesh! Poor kid. I wonder if they’re about to cast Alec, cause I am sure the actor being him will have to train. He’s supposed to be tall, and have really long legs, so I guess they don’t want to bulk Alec up too much. But Jace shouldn’t look like he’s on steroids either. hahahaha
But either way, wow! That’s a lot of work! lol 
yeah I was wondering the same thing he needs to be lean and muscular which I would assume is hard to get just right. Jace is hard bodied and ripped, but not in the same way Taylor was for Jacob in Twilight. But you know if you main job for four months is to eat right, work out and hopefully be memorizing you lines I don’t think that’s such a bad gig. Beats what we all do every day!
For sure, I was mostly wowed by the idea of him working out SIX days a week, for FOUR months!? Phhhhhewwww! lol I don’t know much about what they do with actors for training. I just know that sometimes they’ll make them train, or sometimes they don’t require it but the actors prefer it (sometimes). I am not sure for certain, but because Zac Efron was already in good shape, I don’t think they required him to beef up for The Lucky One, I think he decided that on his own. Not positive though. Usually when doing war films they put actors through hardcore boot camp, different from Gladiator Training. It’s more like Military training…. duh… obviously LOL. And usually…. usually…. I think… (LOL) they go for about 3 months. Whereas I think for him, he goes like an appointment everyday, rather then a trip away from home like Boot Camp does. I think they might lessen his days and hours of workout the closer they get to filming. 6 days a week, to 5, from 5 to 4 and blah blah. lol Again, that’s one thing in school that they haven’t really explained yet, I’ll have to ask my acting teacher. He would probably know…

It’s definitely not recent-recent. His hair is no longer that blond color and his eyebrows are lighter these days. It’s probably from late last year.
Still think he looks a bit girly, unfortunately. Oh well.
It’s still blonde, when he slicks it back it’s darker. He has dirty blonde hair, so whenever it’s wet it looks darker.
Nah, I’ve seen pictures where it’s definitely not gelled and it’s still very dark. Also, as I said, his eyebrows don’t look like this anymore.
Maybe so, but I don’t these are a year old, because back then he was filming Camelot and his hair much longer than this. Cassie Clare made it sound like this was new, that’s why I assumed.
No, not a year old, but shot late last year sometime. His hair looked more like this in around November and December. If you look at older shots from this same campaign, he’s wearing the exact same clothes as above, so this is clearly not new-new. Considering this is also a shoot for a fashion campaign, it makes sense it’d be shot a few months ago anyway.
Well, I hope we see updates of how he looks now, cause I wanna see! lol I want more proof that he’ll look more like Jace! lol
