This a yet another cast suggestion from Scrotty. Paul Bettany has most recently bee seen in Priest with our beloved Lily. He has been in countless movies..Iron Man 1 and 2, Inkheart, A Knight’s Tale..just to name a few. He does have the type of face you want to trust but know deep down you shouldn’t. As always comment away and let us know what you think…maybe we’ll get some real news soon…..

I love him!!! He is creepy and very believable. SO what if the director or whatever has already worked with him. It means he knows his talent and knows what he can do. PB already has light hair so the white should be easy. Besides, he supposed to be Devilishly attractive, and PB has got that down patt. I think he would be an amazing Valentine
Oh wow these chioces are awesome!! Its so hard to choose…but ive seen Paul play creepy and amazing in several movies….so ill bet he would do great….But i have to agree with BIANCA…Jason Isaacs would be awesome too.

Honestly… if they cast him it’ll only annoy me, because that means the director is taking the easy way out. He already worked with this guy, actually send your hiring skills abroad. It’s like Tim Burton and Johnny Depp… what’s the matter Burton? Can’t hack it without Depp? Do you think your movies will flop without him? Apparently you don’t have enough self esteem to make ONE *insert profanity* movie without Johnny Depp!!! your stuff is AWESOME with or without him!!! You don’t need him!!! I think Paul is an excellent actor, DO NOT get me wrong. I just think that the director would be making a decision purely on ‘only hiring friends’ kind of thing Because that would be TWO actors from his ONE only other film… find that odd… at all??? I only Thought of Stephen Moyer because he’s a great actor, and because what I’ve seen of him is pretty good, not because… “Hey I know that guy, lets use him.” Stephen Moyer was only in Priest for like five to ten minutes. Just for the record. I think I have a problem with that, because at my last job I worked SOOO HARD to get promoted, and they only promoted ‘friends’ and not the ones who worked hard for it. Only for it to bite them in the ass, because they all sucked so bad they didnt get demoted, they got FIRED! So this guy is going to ignore talent that is surely well deserves notice, because he’s trying to be safe… my art teacher was a great mentor for me. he told me “When it comes to art you never play safe. You put everything you got into it, blood sweet and soul. only then will your art be worth the presentation. You can’t hesitated, because when you do, the audience hesitates to appreciate it!”
Love, absoloutely love, although if they do cast him then there will be yet another british actor in these movies… not that im complaining, I’m rooting for him!
I really like Paul Bettany, but his features are a bit softer than I imagined for Valentine, but I definately see it in the second pic. I suppose I wouldn’t be upset if this happned.
personally, im not totally sold on him…but since he is a screen gems and scott stewart favorite i have a feeling he may get the part.
If Eric Bana was cast as Luke though I would be MORE than content with him…i just want Eric as Luke…he IS Luke.
OMG!!!!! I love Paul Bettany! He’s such a fan-freaking-tastic actor! His look is right, he can act like a mean S.O.B., and he’s the right age to be Valentine. Love it!
idk, I think he looks a bit too young. I know he’s not that young, but he doesn’t seem old enough to have a 19 year old son, and a 16 year old daughter. Unless he was a teen parent. and I mean like TEEN 15 or 16. not 19. doesn’t count. He looks like he has kids that are around five or seven. He’s a great actor, but he just seems just a bit too young looking for the part I pictured.
For the love of all that is good and holy?? He’s your cast request???? He was born in 1971 so he’s 40! He could totally have had a kid when he was 21 seeing as he got married right out of highschool. He looks older in his IMDB profile pic. I really don’t feel one way or the other about him but you were the one that suggested him
LOL When did I suggest him????? I suggest Stephen Moyer for Valentine, and Daniel Craig, I don’t ever rmember requesting Paul. lol. And acutally he has a new born and a six year old. His son is named Stellan, I couldn’t find out the name of his baby girl though.
OOOOOHHHH You thought I meant HIM from priest???? No no no no. I meant the guy POSING as Lilly’s dad in that movie. Not Priest who actually was her dad. No no I meant Stephen Moyer. He has BLACK hair, not blonde. Thats why I kept saying I wasn’t sure he could pull off the look. He has the ‘face’ it’s the hair that would be hard because he had such a dark complexion. And valentine is white haired. Remember? I kept saying that?

Yes yes yes!!! I love his as an actor, he looks just right, has a great accent if they choose to go that way, he is a great villain with lots of charm. I never thought of him before but honestly Paul as Valentine and Joe as Luke and I would be ecstatic
I like him for this role.I think they are right he looks like somone you want to trust but know you shouldn’t.lol
