Logan Lerman Cast Request for Simon in City of Bones
Alas! More and more hearts are bidding for Logan Lerman, the infamous Percy Jackson & the Olympians: Lightning Thief star. The pic with the guitar has me a bit twitterpated befuddled, and I just had to include the glasses shot. Simon??? PS Did you know Logan Lerman can be seen as D’Artagnan in The Three Musketeers in 2011? It is currently in post-production. yipee! Can’t wait for THAT!

this is SIMON! believe or not he would make the perfect Simon! i mean simon was a human before he became a vampire, and somehow i can see Logan as a mundane and a vampire! with Asher i can only see him as far as the mundane Simon! so im sorry if ive offended anyone but i reckon we have the perfect guy for Simon right here.

I think Asher Book would be the perfect Simon. I was initially all for Logan Lerman, seeing as he has a nice simon appeal to him, but just from looking and watching a few of Asher’s movies its clear he’s the ideal choice. He has that cute boyish best friend vibe to him, but has the potential to be really hot as a vampire (i meen REALLY hot). He even fits the dark hair and eye description Cassandra wrote about in the books! Since the Jace casting was so awful i really want the actor for Simon to fit the role and thats why Asher’s the best choice!I do think that Logan would be amazing as Alec though…

logan lerman ticks off all the boxes for simon: Jewish in real life, used to be part of an indie band in real-life (he even played piano in a recent song by Landon Pigg), more comfortable playing the shy, nerdy guy, can do wisecracks, and he even wears those rock band/slogan shirts simon wears in real life. he’s Simon. But does he have time to play the role and a second male lead at that when he’s been lead and will be lead in practically all of his recent films – sadly probably not.
I am all for Logan Lerman for being in a big movie. Oh, that’s right. He already WAS. I’m not saying that as a bad thing. My point is, I know Simon has large parts in practically every single book, but what would make him want to act as a secondary character when he was already star in others that he acted in? I’m not sure if Logan is in a position in his career yet to want to turn down roles that would make him more popular, but hey, it’s been done before. In addition, he plays Percy from Percy Jackson and the Olympians. That’s good, because I like that movie. But, as I have said…his movie. There are plans to make the second book into a movie. He may be Simon, he may not. I think the only way I won’t be dissapointed in Logan NOT being Simon is someone being cast that is better. I like him, not sure if he’ll take it.
He can’t be cast as Simon because he looks more like Alec, Alec has straight black hair and blue eyes while Simon has brown hair, brown eyes and wears glasses. It would confused people if he play Simon and for example Nicholas Hoult played Alec. People who haven’t read the books might think Simon is related to the Lightwood’s somehow which he obviously isn’t and at the end of the movie people will probably be like “Alec and Simon look alike but they aren’t related? what the?” Plus what about Isabelle? I think that it would be kinda gross to date someone who looks like your brother.
I LOVE HIM but I don’t think he is right for the part… his look is right but this voice and stuff isn’t plus I think they would find someone who would look right being in a band he just wouldn’t

oh my god. perfect perfect perfect. i cant think of anyone better he’s the complete best mix of the awkwardness of simon’s nerdiness and hi hidden hotness. the quality that simon has of being a real nice guy is always the same with logan’s acting in whatever he does…perfect

i think logan should………………not! i mean hes cute but way to young looking and to be honest his voice is really funny soundung… like ive seen the previews for three musketeers and his voice sounds like he went through puberty twice or something plus hes just to busy with perks then on to only boy in new york i think he’ll be busy….he also looks way to girly like hes a boy obviously but not rugid enough and he looks like a nerd with those glasses but i picture simon with slightly curlier hair
I LOVE the idea of Logan playing Simon. He’s going to be in the upcoming adaptation of “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” and honestly I’m already a fan. I think he would do nerdy really well, but still be able to pull off being a vamp bad-a$$

Logan Lerman is a good option but hes really busy other film projects so i think its unlikely he’ll take on the role. tbh i feel that ADAM BRODY would be THE PERFECT SIMON. he pulled of playing seth in the o.c. which is a characterthat that is dead on just like simon that sometimes i think maybe thats where cassandra clare might have gotten inspiration from when she created simon in the mortal instruments.
Since Seth cohen is exactly like Simon’s character it would be a piece of cake for adam brody to pull off.

Simon is supposed to be hot. He has tons of girls chasing after him. The only reason we don’t think of him as being really hot is because most of the story is from Clary’s point of view and she doesn’t view him that way. Think about it, he has Maya,Izzy, and that girl in the coffee shop all thinking he’s hot, there are probably more, I just can’t think of it.
Okay, I get how people are saying he’s too hot for Simon, but it’s a hollywood motion picture. EVERYONE’s hot. To be honest, I feel like the cast was crushed when Pettyfer wasn’t cast as Jace. Thought to be honest, I don’t see chemistry between Lily Collins and Alex Pettyfer. Too weird. But as much as I hope Logan Lerman is cast as Simon, Sea of Monsters is planned to be out by 2012, so he would probably start shooting right after Perks. Then after THAT The Only Living Boy in New York. So, I just highly doubt it.
Hmm, I don’t see him as Alec. Alec is, despite all his prettiness and love of sexy, sexy warlocks, a Shadowhunter. That also means he needs some muscle and a fighter-esque appearance to him and Logan just looks like the kind of guy who gets accidentally thrown into fights like you’d see in sitcoms or something. He’d be a good pre-vamp Simon, though. Alongside Lily Collins as Clary, he might look way too boy-ish, but maybe if we made Lily a more natural pretty, they’d be a good combination. All the guys here look like great Simons! I can’t wait to see what Screen Gems decides!
Logan lerman is can look both cute, and hot. So just make him look hotter when Simon is supposed to turn into a vampire. Logan lerman would be great for the part. I just want the cast list to be done and out for everyone to see already.
P.S. If it was Hunger Games VS The mortal Instruments, I think The Mortal Instruments would win by a bit. They are both so good and addictive, but The Mortal Instruments has characters that are much more interesting, even though both story lines are mad.

I honestly can’t think of a better Simon. Yeah, he’s a bit hot for Simon, but considering Isabelle dates him(and bangs him), even if just for the sake of pissing off her parents, he may be hotter than Clary has bothered to mention.

Let’s see if he will audition for both THG and TMI. He will be playing Charlie though in Perks of Being a Wallflower so that might conflict with the TMI-COB filming as Perks will shoot at the earliest in spring of this year.

But Gale??! No. People get Gale all wrong when they dream-cast him. In the book, Gale is described as tan/olive skinned, almost native american really! I WOULD suggest Taylor Lautner or a lookalike of him for the part, but he’s involved in Twilight so that’s just a massive NO
